“I do ads, I have a decent amount of followers and people on my email list…but not enough people are buying from me.”

After our first 1:1 session, I saw the clear mistake she was making:

She constantly tried to turn her cold or lukewarm leads into clients – instead of nurturing her audience and turning them into hot leads before pitching them her offer.

By only selling to her cold or lukewarm leads, she’s losing the interest of the majority of her followers who aren’t ready to buy yet.

You built a following on social media. People are watching your Stories. They’re inquiring about your offers.

You just feel like MORE of your followers should turn into clients.

It’s not enough to just “post value”. You need to know exactly what type of content to post in order to attract ideal clients as followers, nurture those followers into becoming hot leads and then turn them into clients.

If building your personal brand and attracting followers is the dating phase, then nurturing your audience and turning them into hot leads is about starting a relationship.

Just like entering a relationship with someone means you’re opening up and going deeper with them, you need to do the same with your followers.

I developed a framework for this process called the A.I.A Accelerate Framework: Attract, Ignite, Activate.

Attract = Growing your audience and your brand
Ignite = Turning your audience into hot leads
Activate = Convert your hot leads

While you should consider all these phases in your strategy (in fact, click here and download a guide explaining the full framework,) in this Deep Dive we’re zooming in on the “Ignite” phase.

During this phase, your followers will fall in love with you as a coach and start thinking you might be The One.

In other words, you’re making them more ready to marry you…

This is what you should do to turn more followers into hot leads:

1) Embrace long-form content

Your engaged followers want more than 10-second Reels and simple “3 tips” posts.

They’re ready to go deeper with you and consume more content from you, so if you haven’t already – focus more on long-form content.

Examples of long-form content:

  • Podcast

  • YouTube channel

  • PDF/guides

  • E-book

  • Lives on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook or TikTok

  • Mini course

  • Masterclass

  • Workshop

You should definitely have a fair share of free long-form content, but you can also create a low-ticket offer that solves a specific problem your ideal client may have.

When you launch a low-ticket offer, chances are the people that buy that offer are highly relevant people and warmer leads. When they join (and love) your offer, you are moving them closer to a purchase.

2) Strengthen your position as an authority

If you want to become the dream coach for your ideal client, you need to strengthen your position as an authority in your niche. The goal is for your ideal client to feel “This person is legit and really knows what they’re talking about. I also really like their unique perspective – it resonates with me.”

To create this type of content, you can start with asking yourself these questions:

What’s your story?

Why are you the right coach for your ideal client?

What kind of results have you created for your clients, or yourself?

Why are you different from others in your niche?

What’s your unique perspective or unpopular opinions?

What do you wish more people would just “get” about your area of expertise?

3) Speak more in depth about the client’s problem and the solution

Your followers found you because your content resonated with them. Now you need to help them understand and feel that they have a problem. They also need to learn that there is a solution to that problem.

For example, let’s say you’re a sales coach. Most likely, people started following you because they struggle with sales and found your sales tips really helpful.

Now, you can explain specifically what mistakes your ideal client is currently making in the sales process and talk about the consequences they’re likely experiencing as a result. You should also explain what they should be doing instead if they want to achieve better results.

This is making your ideal client aware of their problem and how big the problem actually is. At the same time, you’re helping them understand that there is a solution to their problem (and therefore they’re starting to warm up to the idea of working with you to solve their problem).


4) Show behind-the-scenes

Your engaged followers are interested in more than just your “value posts” – they’re interested in you.

They’re interested in what you do in your business and for your clients. They want to hear your perspectives, thoughts and opinions.

Take your followers behind-the-scenes more often and share your thoughts about something that’s currently going on in your business and life.

It’s not about posting photos of your dinner or videos of your kids, but about connecting more intimately with your audience beyond your perfectly designed carousel posts.

If your followers feel connected to you as a human being, they’re more likely to buy from you.
